Volkswagen Vento TVC Shows Passion In Manufacturing

After ‘Talking Newspaper’, the German carmaker launches its 360 degree campaign; watch the TVC here.

After the success of the innovative ‘Talking Newspaper’ campaign Volkswagen has released its 360 degree Vento Campaign. The campaign is conceptualized and created by Mudra Communications and can be seen across television channels, print, online, digital and out of home media to establish awareness about the Vento until mid November 2010.


The campaign effectively reflects the positioning of the Vento as German engineering. The communication route adopted for the TVC is ‘tears of perfection’ while crafting the best in class product.

This route was the resultant of the fact that the Vento has been crafted by engineers in the Volkswagen plant in Chakan, Pune with passion at every stage of manufacturing, culminating into a perfect car for the customers, that it is hard to let go.

Speaking about the new campaign, Lutz Kothe, Head – Marketing & PR, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “At Volkswagen our aim has been to break away from the communication clutter by being innovative and refreshing in the way we narrate our story to the customer while ensuring the intended core message is intact. In this campaign we have brought our engineers’ feelings towards the Vento to establish its Best in Class features.”

On the creative idea behind this campaign, Bobby Pawar, Chief Creative Officer, Mudra Group, said, “Vento is the best car in its class and this is where we wanted to position it. When I was thinking to make the campaign, my attention went towards the passion which I was putting into it. And this is how the idea evolved. Vento is the car which is not just made but crafted with passion by engineers and this is what we have tried to show in the commercial.”
