MF Global, a leading player in the stock and futures market, so far has catered to a select clientele of investors and maintained a relatively low profile through niche advertising. This year, the brand wishes to change that. MF Global with the intent to attract more investors and increase its client base has rolled out a new brand campaign 'The Real Perspective'. Where its media plan includes traditional media like TVC and print ads, a highly interactive website Yes-olitis has also been designed to develop a deeper relationship with existing and prospective investors.
The site is an interesting take on the proposition and is created with clinical perfection. The entire idea is to warn investors against the hazard of listening to mindless advice while doing their investments. In its creative execution, the investors affected by people who say 'Yes' all the time and nod in agreement are treated like patients suffering from Yes-olitis. As the investors visit the site in detail, they get to know about the symptoms and cure for Yes-olitis with the help of Dr. No.
“While creating the campaign, we wanted to coin a proposition that was a clutter breaker in the financial services category. Therefore, the creative team worked on the insight that many investors relied on friends, colleagues for investment advice; plus, quite often relationship managers readily agreed on investment options that were beneficial for them”, informed Pravin Shah, Managing Director & CEO, Six Inches Communication, the agency behind the campaign.
Vineet Bhatnagar, Managing Director & CEO, MF Global says, “When the Six Inches team presented the website idea, we liked it a lot as it looked at our services from a completely new angle. We believe that the website and the campaign on the whole, have great potential in creating a buzz.”
The team at Six Inches and MF Global are eagerly waiting for the website to go live and are hoping that many investors will wholeheartedly say 'Yes' to their virtual concept.
