New Delhi: According to the BARC data released on Thursday for the Counting Week (June 1 to 7), Aaj Tak was the most-watched channel during the week, Exit Poll hours, counting day and counting hours.
Counting Week
In Week 23 of 2024 (TG: HSM markets, 15+, NCCS All), Aaj Tak led the Hindi news genre with a relative share of 14.5%.
At No. 2, News18 India captured a relative share of 12.6% followed by India TV with a relative share of 12.2%.
TV9 Bharatvarsh was at No. 4 with a relative share of 11%.
Republic Bharat held the fifth position in the pecking order with a relative share of 9.8%.
Times Now Navbharat closely followed Republic Bharat with a relative share of 9.2%.
News24 recorded a surprise growth in its viewership and jumped to No. 7 with a relative share of 7.4%.
At No. 8, ABP News recorded a relative share of 6%.
Zee News and News Nation recorded relative shares of 5.6% and 4.2%, respectively.
Counting Day
On Counting Day, June 4 (TG: HSM markets, 15+, NCCS All), Aaj Tak led the genre by a significant margin. The channel’s relative share on the counting day was 16.6%.
At No. 2, News18 India recorded a relative share of 13.2%.
India TV was at No. 3 with a relative share of 11.6%.
TV9 Bharatvarsh was at No. 4 with a relative share of 10.6%.
Republic Bharat held the fifth position in the pecking order with a relative share of 8.5%.
News24 pipped Times Now Navbharat by one decimal point and jumped to No. 6. News24 and Times Now Navbharat recorded relative shares of 7.8% and 7.7%, respectively.
At No. 8, ABP News recorded a relative share of 6.9%.
Zee News recorded relative shares of 5.9%.
Good News Today and News Nation recorded relative shares of 4% and 3.8%, respectively.
Counting Hours
During the peak counting hours between 8 am and 12 noon on June 4 (TG: HSM markets, 15+, NCCS All), Aaj Tak held the lion’s share. Its relative share during the peak counting hours was 17.6%.
At No. 2, News18 India recorded a relative share of 13.8%.
India TV was at No. 3 with a relative share of 10.3%.
TV9 Bharatvarsh was at No. 4 with a relative share of 10%.
ABP News rose to No. 5 during the peak counting hours and recorded a relative share of 8.1%.
Republic Bharat and News24 were at No. 6 and No. 7 with a relative share of 7.7%.
Times Now Navbharat was at No. 8 with a relative share of 7.4%.
At No. 8, Zee News recorded relative shares of 6.8%.
Exit polls
During the Exit polls on June 1 (TG: HSM markets, 15+, NCCS All; 5 pm to 9 pm), Aaj Tak led the genre with a relative share of 16.6%.
TV9 Bharatvarsh was at No. 2 with a relative share of 11.4%.
News18 India recorded a relative share of 11.1%.
India TV was at No. 4 with a relative share of 10.7%.
Republic Bharat was at No. 5 with a relative share of 10.5%.
At N. 6, Times Now Navbharat recorded a relative share of 9.9%.
News24 held the seventh position with a relative share of 8.3%.
Zee News was at No. 8 ahead of ABP News during the Exit poll hours with a relative share of 7%.
