TOI appoints Rohit Sharma as Director - Response and Sai Doma as the Director – Central East

Doma will be focusing on the Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhopal, Nagpur, Patna, and Bhubaneswar branches, Central/Delhi Government & B3 PSU verticals and national Languages revenue. In his earlier role with Philips India, Sharma was Director of Sales, India Sub-Continent (Personal Health business)

New Delhi: Times of India has appointed Rohit Sharma as Director - Response. 

TOI has also named Sai Doma as the Director – Central East at The Times of India. 

As Director - Response, Sharma will be responsible for executing the sales strategy, driving growth, planning for monetisation of revenue opportunities and enhancing TOI’s market presence for Response (North).

In his new role, Doma will be focusing on the Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhopal, Nagpur, Patna, and Bhubaneswar branches. Additionally, he will be responsible for the Central/Delhi Government & B3 PSU verticals and national Languages revenue.

Sharma is a Science Graduate with an MBA and General Management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Sharma has 25 years of experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development across various sectors encompassing Consumer Durables, Personal Care and Cement having worked in industries like Ambuja Cements, Videocon International Ltd, Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd, Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd & Philips India.

In his earlier role with Philips India, Sharma was Director of Sales, India Sub-Continent (Personal Health business) and was responsible for driving business growth and expanding market reach in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Doma joined The Times of India as Mumbai-1 Branch Head in 2020. 

Times of India said that Doma has always taken the lead in providing 360-degree, experiential marketing solutions, that have added to the growth story of the organisation.

“During his tenure, he has contributed significantly to the organisation, surpassing pre-covid revenues by a significant volume. In 2023-24 alone, he was able to grow the market by a double-digit percentage,” read the TOI statement.
