Kamats Restaurants takes legal action against infringement of its brand name

Delhi: Kamats Restaurants had initiated legal proceedings against the unauthorised use of its brand name at Dapoli. Concerns arose after multiple reports from customers alerted the company to this unauthorised activity.

Subsequent investigations, including the examination of photographic evidence, revealed that a restaurant operating under the Kamats name in Dapoli had no affiliation with the genuine Kamats Restaurant chain.

In response, Kamats Restaurants promptly issued a legal notice to the unauthorised establishment and pursued the matter through legal channels. As a result, the court ordered the immediate cessation of the counterfeit establishment. Local authorities were directed to dismantle the operation and confiscate all materials associated with the unauthorised use of the Kamats brand name.

Vikram Kamat, Founder and CMD of The VitsKamats Group, emphasised the importance of protecting the brand's integrity. He stated, "We are pleased to have successfully halted the illegal exploitation of our brand name by individuals seeking to deceive the public by operating substandard outlets under our esteemed name. Protecting our brand's integrity and ensuring our customers' trust and satisfaction are paramount to us."
