Delhi: Coca-Cola has launched a new app, Coke SoundZ, which allows users to create unique melodies using the sounds of a Coke Zero Sugar bottle being opened and enjoyed.

The app captures the quintessential sounds associated with enjoying a Coke – the pop (phsst), the fizz, the clink of ice, the gulp (glug), and the satisfied sigh (ahhh) – designed to evoke a pleasurable response in the brain.

The app is launched in the US and European markets.

Featuring a user-friendly interface, Coke SoundZ provides five toggles, each linked to one of these distinctive sounds, above an "AI generate" button. This button indicates the use of an algorithm to blend these sounds into a personalised auditory experience.

Pratik Thakar, VP and Global Head of GenAI at The Coca-Cola Company conveyed gratitude to the team behind this innovation and posted a video of the same.

As a part of Coke's ongoing Real Magic campaign, Coke SoundZ was developed through a collaboration with WPP Open X and AKQA. The project also enlisted the expertise of cognitive scientist and "science communicator," Katherine Lewis.

In a move to bridge digital and physical music creation, Coca-Cola has launched a tangible version of Coke SoundZ, modelled after a Coke Zero glass bottle.

This physical device has been distributed to select DJs, music producers, and creators, encouraging them to craft their own music tracks. This version of the instrument offers enhanced sound options, including various synth tones, to broaden the creative possibilities for musicians.

Already featured in a promotional campaign for Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, this instrument is set to play a significant role in future music-centric marketing initiatives by Coca-Cola, blending traditional branding with innovative, interactive technology.
