Delhi: boAt has initiated an investigation into allegations of a potential data breach that exposed the personally identifiable information (PII) of millions of customers online.

Recent reports indicate that the compromised data, including details of over 7.5 million customers, was posted for sale on a hacking forum by an unidentified hacker going by the username ShopifyGUY.

The leaked data reportedly contains customers' names, phone numbers, addresses, email IDs, and customer IDs. This information was verified by the publication with recent boAt customers. The data was made available for purchase at a relatively low price, increasing the risk of potential phishing attempts or scams targeting affected customers.

In response to these allegations, boAt has confirmed that it has launched an investigation into the reported data breach.
