Delhi: Amazon has shortlisted IPG Mediabrands, WPP and Omnicom Media Group in its global media pitch process, according to media reports.

Considered to be one of the biggest media accounts globally, Amazon spent $20.6 billion in 2022.

According to Campaign US, the brief for the account was issued in March.

The IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative won the business in 2013 and also defended it in 2017. Before that, Publicis Groupe held the account.

As per sources, IPG will remain engaged with the brand until 2024. However, the pitch specified that the mandate is set to commence in 2025.

According to news reports, WPP and Omnicom have assembled various teams from their agencies to vie for the mandate.
“As part of our regular course of business, we routinely review existing business relationships with third-party vendors and partners, and based on those reviews, may decide to solicit proposals from vendors interested in working with us. We look forward to the proposal process in this case and will evaluate the right next steps for our businesses once we’ve reviewed submissions,” an Amazon spokesperson told the media.
