Advertising Club of Madras announces 42nd Maddys 2024, advertising awards

Delhi: The Advertising Club of Madras has announced the return of its flagship event – the 42nd Maddys 2024. 
The Ad Club Madras has expanded the award categories (146) to encompass the latest trends and innovations, aiming to ensure a  more inclusive platform that celebrates excellence across all facets of advertising. 

Awards are categorised as Creative, Digital, Media and Unpublished.  

Creative Awards has been extensively opened up for multiple industry verticals (FMCG, Consumer Durables, Automobiles, Retail, Health and Wellness, Hospitality,  Banking and Insurance, Education, Online services, Telecom, Real Estate, Media and Entertainment, Public Services) and comprises 98 categories under it. 

These  categories would cover all types of media i.e, Print, Television, Radio, OOH and Digital.  Maddys Design, Maddys Craft, Video(for Production Houses), Radio,  Best use of AI, Public Service, Regional(Tamil) and Integrated campaigns have been added under the  Creative Awards section this year.  

Digital Awards comprise of 20 categories that are relevant to the type and nature of  campaigns Digital Agencies deliver for clients and are broadly classified  under Creative/Content, Mobile, Websites and Digital campaigns.  

Media Awards have been extensively thought through and comprise of 22 categories under Media Innovation, Media Strategy, Events and Brand Activation and  Integrated campaigns. 

Unpublished Awards compromise of 6 categories to bring out work that  may not be commissioned by the client but recognised by the advertising fraternity . 

Digital Agency Of The Year and Client Of The Year have also been introduced along with Creative Agency Of The Year and Media Agency Of The Year.

S Balasubramanian, President of Advertising Club Madras, said, “In line with the evolving trends within our industry, we have introduced several  new categories and revitalised existing segments, thus ensuring a more  comprehensive scope. Our aim in making these adjustments is to broaden our  reach and enhance accessibility for a diverse array of participants. Through these  updates, we aspire to celebrate and acknowledge advertising talents across  various domains.”

For the 3rd consecutive time, the entire process of entries and judging is completely  online using the International online award platform - Judgify.
