Abby Awards 2024: Shortlists announced in 23 Creative and 20 Media Abby categories

Media agencies submitted 1,258 entries this year compared to 1,019 last year, and creative agencies submitted 2,248 entries this year compared to 2,282 last year

Delhi: Abby Awards 2024 powered by The One Show has announced the shortlists in the creative and media categories.

The Abby Awards has announced shortlists in 23 categories under the Creative Abby and 20 categories under the Media Abby.

Creative Abby shortlists

The highest number of shortlists are in the Digital category, with 184 entries making it to the list. This is followed by 120 shortlists in the Video Craft category.

There are 50 shortlists in the Still Print category, 34 in Still Digital, 60 in Audio-Visual TV, Cinema, Digital, OTT (Below 1 minute duration), 53 in Audio-Visual TV, Cinema, Digital, OTT (1 minute and Above), 29 in Audio, 26 in Out of Home (Ambient Media), 37 in Integrated, 65 in Design, 22 in Mobile, 44 in Technology, 34 in Direct, 28 in Brand Activation & Promotion, 53 in Public Relations, 34 in Branded Content & Entertainment, 36 in Health Abby, 22 in Young Maverick, 30 in Diversity, Equality & Inclusion, 41 in Broadcaster, 22 in Publisher, 12 in Red Abby, and 14 in Green Abby category.

Media Abby shortlists

The highest number of shortlists are in the Innovative Use of Integrated Media category, with 52 making it to the list. This is followed by 40 in the Innovative Use of Social Media category.

There are 44 shortlists in the Innovative Use of Audio Visual category, 15 in the Innovative Use of Print category, 36 in the Innovative Use of Activation category, and 20 in the Innovative Use of Outdoor category. The Innovative Use of Cinema has only two shortlists. There are 11 shortlists in the Innovative Use of Radio category, 35 in the Innovative Use of Branded Content - Integration category, 31 in the Innovative Use of Branded Content - Creation category, 8 in the Innovative Use of Digital Search SEO category, and 11 in the Innovative Use of Paid Search category. The Innovative Use of Social Media category has 40 shortlists, the Innovative Use of Digital Display category has 21, and the Innovative Use of Mobile category has 25. There are 14 shortlists in the Innovative Use of Commerce category and 7 in the Innovative Use of Gaming category. Additionally, there are 32 entries in the Innovative Use of Moment Marketing category, 52 in the Innovative Use of Integrated Media category, 21 in the Cause Marketing category, 15 in the Innovative Use of Data and Analytics category, and 27 in the Innovative Use of Emerging Technologies category.

This year, the total number of entries for the 55th edition of the Abby Awards 2024 Powered by One Show has surpassed last year’s number of 3,301, reaching 3,506. Media agencies submitted 1,258 entries this year compared to 1,019 last year, and creative agencies submitted 2,248 entries this year compared to 2,282 last year, the organisers told BestMediaInfo.com.

Even the number of participating agencies has increased from 63 in 2023 to 73 this year, they added.

The returning agencies to the Abby’s include Lowe Lintas, McCann Worldgroup India, DDB Mudra, and Famous Innovations, among others.

Abby Awards at Goafest for this year will be happening at Hotel Westin, Powai, Mumbai from Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to Friday, May 31, 2024.
