Walking through Aamir Khan's ad journey on his 59th birthday

Aamir Khan, whose impeccable acting talent has made him earn the title of Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood, has unequivocally gained a fair share of fame in the advertisement industry.

With blockbusters like Laagan, Dangal, and PK, Khan also holds a pedant position when it comes to advertisements associated with soft drinks from the 2000s to the unforgettable ads of Tata Sky.

His net worth was last reported to be $225 million in 2021 and his brand value was estimated to be $24.9 million in 2020.

He has been associated with several brands like Coca-cola, Pepsi, Vivo, Samsung, Godrej, and Tata Sky. As Khan turns 59 today, here’s a look back at his journey in the advertisement industry.

Coke and Pepsi

Walking back to the 90s, he starred alongside Aishwarya Rai and Mahima Chaudhury in Pepsi ads. He is also responsible for chiseling the famous tagline of Coca Cola, “ Thanda Matlab Coca Cola” into people’s minds via his heterogeneous characters. The popular ad series of the soft drink flagged off with Khan and continued for almost a decade.

Samsung and Vivo

Apart from holding expertise in coke ads, Khan has appeared in electronic brands like Samsung and Vivo. He remained the face of brand Samsung for years and made the ad shine out in the cohort of other brands.

Godrej Group

Not only the aforementioned brands, but Khan has endorsed Godrej Group as well. Godrej attached clinch with Khan in the year 2013, featuring him as the face of the brand in campaign with tagline “Ideas that make life brighter.”

Tata Sky

In 2008, Khan endorsed Tata Sky and introduced its iconic slogan ‘Isko Laga Dala to Life Jhinghalala.’ His variant characters in the ads of Tata Sky evolved him into a brand ambassador everyone recalls.

Phonepe

In 2019, Khan became the brand ambassador of PhonePe, an Indian Fintech company.

PharmEasy

Known for choosing quality over quantity, the perfectionist became the brand ambassador of the PharmEasy campaign 'GharBaitheBaitheTakeItEasy' in the year 2022.

Thums up

In recent times, Khan is all set to gain traction once again in the advertising space. A new ad

for an energy drink has Khan playing the role of ‘Dadu’.

Ceat

Khan has been featured in the campaign of Ceat tyres where he showcases the five star bureau of energy efficiency rating earned for the premium tyres of the brand. However, one of the brand’s ads during Diwali ran into severe controversy for ‘shading’ the Hindu festival in its film.
