Parle G enters dark mode, netizens react

Amidst the Instagram, Facebook outage, a viral pic of ‘Parle G Dark’ biscuit packets took the internet by storm. Though there has been no official confirmation from the brand regarding this ‘new flavour,’ it did not stop netizens from fueling their humour into making memes.

Shared across ‘X’, the viral image showcased a packet of Parle-G labelled ‘Dark,’ its yellow backdrop replaced by a mysterious dark hue. Accompanying the packet were biscuits adorned in the same chocolatey shade.

“When Chai broke up with ParleG, ParleG became Dark,” playing on the word ‘dark.’Another quipped, “Dadi sahi kehti thi chai peene se kaale ho jate hai.” The third brought back summertime advice with “Parle-G ne bhi mummy ki baat nahi maani aur dhoop me kaala ho gaya.” And the fourth playfully concluded, “Over burnt ho Gaye honge toh nai packaging Mai daal ke benefit kar liya.”

There has also been speculation about its taste, riding on the back of netizens holding firmly onto the classic Parle G.

“Very mid I heard,” claimed one user on ‘X’. Another pondered, “Hopefully something you can dip in coffee and still tastes as good as a regular Patel G in chai.”
