NDTV Profit to resume operations from December 8

The New Delhi Television (NDTV) has announced the comeback of its business news channel, NDTV Profit, set to be live on December 8.

The channel, which stopped operating on June 1, 2017, will start broadcasting again after a six-year hiatus.

The company in a regulatory filing said, "This is in reference to the press release dated June 1, 2017, issued by the Company, informing thereby the temporary discontinuation of regular business programming on NDTV Profit channel."

"In this regard, we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company vide circular resolution dated November 28, 2023 has granted approval to re-commence the regular operations of NDTV Profit channel w.e.f. December 8, 2023," it added.

NDTV also plans to launch regional news channels — NDTV Gujarati and NDTV Marathi —in the coming months, complementing its flagship channels NDTV India in Hindi and NDTV 24x7 in English.

NDTV Rajasthan and NDTV Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh have already been launched.
