Adhering to the philosophy of moving towards perfection, in its third edition, Rising Star Awards, celebrating young media strategists, has unveiled new additions to both its main award categories and special categories.
To adapt to the ever-evolving advertising and marketing industry, BestMediaInfo.com has introduced two additional categories to the business categories and five new categories in the special awards categories.
The additions made in main categories are:
- Gaming
- Others
Brands are increasingly experimenting with the gaming sector through esports, live streaming of games in the form of sponsorships, integrations and others. Therefore, it became imperative to incorporate this addition into our business categories.
BestMediaInfo.com has taken steps to encompass all business categories, with a contingency 'Others' sub-category to address any potential omissions.
The additions made in the special categories are:
- Rising Star for Best Strategy - Branded Content
- Rising Star for Best Strategy - Mobile
- Rising Star for Best Strategy - Best use of AI
- Rising Star for Best Strategy - Managing media in a limited budget
- Rising Star for Best Strategy - Use of data
Altogether, the awards would be given across 14 business and 14 special categories.
While there will be one winner or a winning team in each category, who will get the Rising Star Chair, there will also be a ‘Finalist’ certificate for the entries that came close enough but lost by a small margin.
Any work could be entered in more than one category such as an online fashion brand could be entered into the ‘Fashion & Lifestyle’ and ‘e-Commerce’ categories. Similarly, an online pharmacy brand could enter into ‘e-Commerce’ and ‘Healthcare & Pharma’ categories.
All the entries made across business categories will also be eligible to win special awards. The entries opting for special categories will compete for a special award with all the entries made across all the business categories.
Opting for any of the special awards categories will be counted as a separate entry.
To simplify more, if you want to enter for special award ‘Rising Star for Best Strategy - Print’, it should first be entered into the business category it belongs to and then the special category should be selected. Thus, it will be counted as two entries.
Brands, agencies and individuals can enter work created and executed between July 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
The early bird entry deadline is October 20, 2023.

Aligned with the awards proposition, Zee News and Manorama Online have come on board as Associate Sponsors for the Rising Star Awards 2023.
The awards will be held in December, wherein the winners will be honoured on the stage in front of an audience comprising top advertising and marketing leaders and professionals.
