There is a 45% decline in the number of advertisers on TV during the first 10 matches of IPL 2023 compared to the last year, according to the BARC India data for Week 14.
The BARC data shows that there were 35 advertisers advertising on television in 2023 versus 64 in 2022.
Among the 35 advertisers this year, 19 are new advertisers.
In terms of the number of brands advertising on television, there is a 37% drop this year. There were 66 brands that advertised on TV in the first 10 matches versus 105 brands during the same period last year.
Disney Star is the official television media rights holder of IPL which roped in 13 sponsors for the 16th season of the tournament.
