Essence's Nisha Ganeri joins VMLY&R as Senior Vice-President of Strategy

Nisha Ganeri

Nisha Ganeri has joined VMLY&R as SVP-Strategy just weeks after she parted ways with EssenceMediacom.

Prior to this, Ganeri was associated with GroupM for nearly five years, first as Director- Strategy and Insights, after which she was elevated to the role of Creative Strategist at Essence (now EssenceMediacom) in August 2022.

Calling it quits at the GroupM company, two weeks earlier, Ganeri in a LinkedIn post had mentioned, “When I switched into a media strategy role with my stint at Essence little did I know that I will end up gaining so much growth, knowledge and innovation chops. To be creative with media is what I learned. I crammed in many tears of joy, accomplishments, trials and tribulations, hits and misses at this lovely company. I am leaving behind team-mates but taking along with me friends for life. This is not a Goodbye Essentials! Next is what? Something exciting is brewing, stay tuned for more.”

Earlier on, Ganeri had also been associated with Publicis as AVP for over a year, Ogilvy and Mather as Strategy and Planning Director for over three years, DDB Mudra Group as Strategy and Planning Director for one year and Creativeland Asia as Creative Strategy Partner for over one year.

She was also a Brand Associate at Leo Burnett, Marcom Manager at Geodesic, Executive Assistant to CMD at Suzlon Energy and Corporate Communications Executive at Kirloskar Oil Engines in the past.
