On Day-2 of the e-auction for Prasar Bharati’s free-to-air DTH platform, six Hindi general entertainment channels were allotted a MPEG-2 slot each.
The successful bidders of the A+ bouquet are – Manoranjan Grand, Manoranjan TV, Semaroo TV, Big Magic, The Q, and Dangal.
The e-auction kicked off on Monday and only one channel could be allotted after the day-long training of the process.
The subscribers of MPEG-2 set-top-boxes are estimated to be in the range of 40-45 million.
Prasar Bharati is conducting the e-auctions for six slots in one round for each bucket. Earlier, five slots were auctioned in each round of a bucket.
