Pradeep Sarkar, the renowned film-maker and adman behind some of the most iconic ad campaigns of Aaj Tak, Ek Desh Ek Hum, Odonil, Fiama, Dabur, etc. passed away this morning.
Sarkar’s demise made many individuals from the adland and Bollywood teary-eyed. These people took to social media platforms to make their anguish known and remember the master of the craft.

Additionally, Sarkar is also known for producing some Bollywood films - such as Parineeta, Laaga Chunari Me Daag, Mardaani and Helicopter Eela amongst others.
The news of Sarkar’s demise at the age of 67 was made public by Shubho Sen Gupta, Director- Media and Creative, My Gov, on Twitter.

As per reports, Sarkar, who was receiving dialysis, was taken to the hospital today and passed away there. Post this, his last remains would be taken to the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbai where his last rites would be performed at 4 pm today.

Sarkar started his career as a creative supervisor at Tulika Advertising Agency and transitioned to commercial filmmaking after spending over two decades in mainstream advertising. He was also the founder of Apocalypso Filmworks.
Some of his most recent ad campaigns were for Aaj Tak, Ek Desh Ek Hum, ADK Fortune, etc.
