Spikes Asia 2023: Dentsu Creative and VMLY&R secure shortlists in Innovation category from India

Spikes Asia has announced its first shortlist for 2023, the Innovation Spikes. India has secured two shortlists in the category.

Dentsu Creative Bangalore has been shortlisted for ‘The Responsible Manhole’ campaign created for TVS Motor Company.

VMLY&R Mumbai has fetched a shortlist for ‘The Killer Pack’ campaign for Maxx Flash.

From 29 entries, 10 have been shortlisted; South Korea have the most shortlisted pieces of work, followed by India and Australia.

Shortlisted entries are as follows:

  1. 'Voice Watch' for Toyota Mobility Foundation, by Dentsu Inc., Tokyo, Japan.
  2. 'Solar Beehive' for Hanwha, by Innocean Worldwide, Seoul, South Korea.
  3. 'Audio Ad You Can See’ for DFR Recruiting, by VMLY&R, Melbourne, Australia.
  4. ‘The Responsible Manhole’ for TVS Motor Company, by Dentsu Creative, Bengaluru, India.
  5. ‘The Killer Pack’ for Maxx Flash, by VMLY&R, Mumbai, India.
  6. ‘Toy8 Screening’ for Toy Eight, by Toy Eight, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  7. ‘Dot Pad. The First Smart Tactile Graphics Display.’ for Dot, by Dot Incorporation, Seoul, South Korea / Serviceplan Korea, Seoul, South Korea / Serviceplan, Munich, Germany.
  8. ‘Project Skate’ for Google, by Google Brand Studio APAC, Sydney, Australia.
  9. ‘Project Relate’ for Google, by Toaster, Singapore.
  10. ‘Hydrogen Garbage Truck’ for Hyundai Motor Group, by Innocean Worldwide, Seoul, South Korea.

Shortlisted entrants will present their work to the jury for the next round of judging.

All other shortlists will be announced on Thursday, March 2, excluding the Integrated & Glass Spikes shortlists which will be released on Friday, March 3. The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 7, followed by the Grands Prix and Special Award winners on Thursday, March 9.
