coto, the social community app exclusively for women, has announced the onboarding of Avi Kumar as its new Chief Business Officer.

He will report to Tarun Katial, Founder and CEO, coto.

Kumar brings with him in-depth consumer insights, brand proficiency and digital expertise, which will further accelerate business and marketing strategies for coto.

In his new role, his focus will be to design the narrative of converting coto’s in-app content to unique consumer insights that will set the platform apart from its contemporaries.

coto as a women-exclusive platform believes in empowering women worldwide with communities they relate with and feel comfortable with. The app is for all women of all races, sizes, disabilities, age groups, social sections, and income groups to accept their uniqueness and find unity in diversity.

With a career spanning over a decade, Kumar has built a reputation as a marketer specialising in converting data to consumer insights and further to market strategy while delivering growth.

Prior to coto, Kumar was the Chief Marketing Officer at Join Ventures and led the global marketing for its portfolio companies - IGP.com, Interflora India, IGP for Business, and Masqa. Before that, he was the Head of Marketing for Zee5 and was responsible for the growth of the D2C and B2B businesses. He had also led marketing for Big FM, before which he was associated with Oriflame.
