Breaking reach barrier: News18 India stays ahead of leading GECs

News18 India Thursday said it stays ahead of Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) in terms of cumulative reach.

Quoting BARC data for rolling weeks 44-47 of 2022, News18 India said it reached 9% more viewers than Star Plus in Hindi-speaking markets in 2+ age group.

The channel recorded 99.6 mn reach in the latest week’s data while Star Plus reached 91.6 mn viewers.

Sony SAB and Zee TV recorded an average reach of 79 million.

Sony Entertainment Television was at an average reach of 74.6 million in the weeks 44-47.
