All rounds of judging were done onsite in Las Vegas over nine days. LIA’s judging process has no pre-judging. Each juror sees every piece of work in their respective categories. Each jury, along with their President, convened in their judging room to discuss and debate thoroughly before deciding on the winners. This ensures that all work was judged equally through careful deliberations and robust discussions.
Ashwini Deshpande, Co-Founder/Director, Elephant Design, India and Jury President of the 2022 Design and Package Design jury comments, “The best part of judging was to be with the people in my jury who came from different backgrounds. And to hear what they had to say about a piece and to build on each other's opinions.”
Bruno Bertalli, Global CCO di Publicis Worldwide, CCO Publicis Groupe Italia, CEO Le Pub Nederlands and Creative Chairman at Le Pub and the LIA Integration Jury President stated, "There were a lot of very interesting pieces. The Grand LIA for Integration was awarded to Cadbury. It was a very clever way of combining creativity and data in a way that was all about getting results in a functional and efficient way.
Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said, “Almost every jury found work from India praiseworthy. This just shows how remarkable the work is. They did not just win a Grand but Indian work had a visible presence throughout the show. Kudos to all the winners!”
In total, 754 LIA statues and 230 finalists were awarded to 45 countries with the United States leading with 254 wins, followed by Germany with 81, the United Kingdom with 53 and India with 37 statue winners.
