Atrangi TV, recently launched free-to-air GEC by Ullu app founder Vibhu Agarwal, and B4U Movies have grabbed DD Freedish slots in an auction held Wednesday.
None of the top four GECs – Star Utsav, Colors Rishtey, Sony Pal and Zee Anmol – participated actively in the bidding despite being present in the online auction.
Sources within the Prasar Bharati told BestMediaInfo.com that officials at Doordarshan were disappointed after there was no breakthrough when it comes to bidding for the slot. “Atrangi got the slot for just Rs 5 lakh above the reserve price,” the source said.
