Jason Derulo helps emerging music artists to 'Take The Stage' with Tuborg Open

A new collaboration between Jason Derulo and Danish beer brand Tuborg, has given music artists from around the world a once-in-a lifetime mentoring experience with the platinum selling music artist.

The project marks the sixth year of Tuborg Open, a campaign that uses the power of music to create unique experiences for artists and fans around the world.

The mentoring experience took place in LA where unsigned artists spent one-on-one time with Jason in the studio, discussing performance, producing, song writing and what it takes to be a success in the industry. Each artist then went on to perform in front of Jason, taking the stage at The Wiltern Theatre, one of Los Angeles’ most iconic music venues.

Speaking about his involvement in the campaign, Jason Derulo, said, “There is no play book that exists in the music industry, so if you want to become a musician, you’re almost out there by yourself. But to have somebody in your corner who has been through these experiences can make a big difference. That’s what I love about this campaign. I feel like I’d have bumped my head a lot less if I’d had that kind of guidance, so I’m grateful that I can be a part of the journey these talented artists are on”.

The artists participating in the Tuborg Open project are Dee MC (India), VEK (Nepal), Shokhrullo Abdullaev (Uzbekistan), Halko (Turkey), Iva Lorens (Serbia) and Stoposto (Bosnia). Each will continue to receive support from Tuborg over the coming months as they produce and develop the tracks that they performed in front of Derulo.

Talking about her experience of Tuborg Open, Dee MC (India), said, “I think what I’ve enjoyed most about this experience was how authentically we all connected just based on our shared love of music. It’s amazing to think that no matter which part of the world you come from, music can connect you without any boundaries. That’s what makes Tuborg Open so special.”
