Cannes Lions 2022: India secures 20 shortlists on Day-2

The shortlists released for 6 categories are - Creative Effectiveness, Creative Strategy, Mobile Lions, Brand Experience & Activation, Creative Business Transformation, Creative Commerce

After a great run on the first day bagging seven Lions including two Grand Prix and 20 shortlists, Indian agencies have secured 20 shortlists again on Day-2 of Cannes Lions 2022.

The shortlists released for 6 categories are - Creative Effectiveness, Creative Strategy, Mobile Lions, Brand Experience & Activation, Creative Business Transformation, Creative Commerce.

Creative Effectiveness

"Stayfree Project Free Period" done by DDB Mudra Mumbai was the only shortlist in Creative Effectiveness category.

There were 20 entries from India in this category.

Mobile Lions

“The unfiltered history tour” done by Dentsu Creative Bengaluru for Vice Media has secured three shortlists in Activation by Location, Mobile led creativity and Social purpose subcategories under Mobile category.

The fourth shortlist from India in Mobile category is “Nothingcoin” done by Ogilvy India for Cadbury 5 Star.

There were 19 entries from India in the Mobile category.

Brand Experience & Activation

There are 10 shortlists in the Brand Experience & Activation category.

Dentsu Creative India has secured three shortlists for Vice Media’s "The Unfiltered History Tour".

Ogilvy India has got two shortlists for "Shahrukh Khan - My Ad".

VMLY&R has also bagged a shortlist for Unipads’ ‘Adeli’ campaign and its Commerce division has fetched a shortlist for Unilever’s ‘Smart Fill’.

FCB India along with FCB Chicago has fetched three shortlists for the campaign ‘The Nominate Me Selfie’ done for Times of India.

India had sent 71 entries in the Brand Experience and Activations Category.

Creative Business Transformation

The only shortlist from India in this category is VMLY&R Commerce’s campaign "Smart fill" created for Unilever.

8 entries were sent under this category from India.

Creative Commerce

There are four shortlists in this category. VMLY&R Commerce has garnered three shortlists for "Smart Fill" created for Unilever. McCann Worldgroup India has earned its first shortlist for the campaign "Shagun ka Lifafa" created for Ujjivan Small Finance Bank.

This year, 14 entries were sent in the Creative Commerce category from India.

Creative Strategy

There is no show from India in this category which saw 29 entries.
