Ed-tech platform Byju’s has appointed Jiten Mahendra as Vice-President and Head of Marketing.
Before this, Mahendra was serving as Senior VP Marketing at the Landmark Group. He was with Landmark Group for a total span of 12 years during which he served in various roles.
Mahendra announced his exit from the Landmark Group through a LinkedIn post.
He said, “My 12 year-long innings with Landmark group and Max Fashion comes to an end. I am thankful to Vasanth Kumar for giving me this wonderful opportunity and mentoring me throughout this journey and bringing the best in me. Thanks to Shital Mehta and Raghu Rajagoapalan for all the guidance and support. Special thanks Max marketing team for supporting me throughout this journey. I can sum up this whole journey in two words ‘Passion’ and ‘Perseverance’ can make anything happen. To conclude ‘End of your journey is the beginning of the new one’.”
Mahendra started his career in 1999 with Sphinx Creative Communications as a Business Development Executive and worked there till 2001. In 2001, he joined Unilever as a Brand Assistant for a brief period of one year and 10 months. Then in 2002, he started working with Zydus Cadila as a Brand Manager and from there he moved on to Kansai Nerolac Paints in the year 2006. In 2007, he joined Mahindra & Mahindra, managing the brand until 2010.
