Zee 24 Taas recently held its ‘Ananya Sanman’ awards ceremony which felicitates people who have made unique contributions in various fields. This year the 'Ananya Sanman Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar' was given to Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
The other honoured awardees were Sakharam Ramabai Torne for the social sector, Shivaji Ambulegkar for the education sector, Praveen Vyavahare for his outstanding achievements in the field of sports and Shantabai Dhade for her outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture, and to Suhas Waingankar, who works in the field of environment.
Mangeshkar said, “I sincerely thank Zee. Didi (Lata Mangeshkar) wanted to see this honour of mine. She's not here with us today, and I'm not happy about that.”
The event was also attended by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India; Dilip Walse-Patil Minister of Home Affairs of Maharashtra and MNS president Raj Thackeray, former Mayor of Mumbai Kishori Pednekar, and former Vice-Chancellor of University of Mumbai.
Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, said, “The Music composition and the lyrics given to the world by Pandit Hridaynathj Mangeshkar is immortal.”
MNS president Raj Thackeray, added, “Maharashtra’s gem Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar is honoured by a well-known channel Zee 24 Taas at Ananya Sanman event. In fact, the state should also honour these individuals who have brought name and fame to the state of Maharashtra.”
