The young dance prodigies are all set to take on the dance floor with Colors' new dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’.
Produced by Frames Production, the show will premiere on April 23 and air every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm on the channel.
Handpicked from various parts of the nation through a stringent audition process, these children aged between 4-14 years will attempt to set the stage on fire whilst performing in solos, duos, and groups and competing with each other.
Guiding and mentoring them in this journey will be the panel of judges- the ever-graceful Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and choreographer and dancer Marzi Pestonji. Joining them will be actor Karan Kundrra as the host of the show.
Nina Elavia Jaipuria, Head, Hindi Mass Entertainment and Kids TV Network, Viacom18, said, “At Colors, it has always been our endeavour to offer a wide variety of content to our viewers and encourage the best of talent from across the nation. After the outstanding success of our flagship property ‘Dance Deewane’, we now present ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’, a dance show dedicated to kids. With an extraordinary panel of judges and an outstanding line up of contestants, the show will raise the bar of entertainment and strengthen our weekend offerings.”
‘Dance Deewane’ franchise has helped in discovering some of the best dancers in this country, and it is now presenting the new ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’.
With the promise of ‘Deewangi More, Dance Hardcore’, the show aims to find children with a flaming desire to dance and give them a befitting stage. Be it the incredible dance group 'ABCD Little Angels', including Rithyha, Navya, Janvi, Shanaya and Myra, the energetic dancing duo of Urva and Aska also or solo performers Geet Kaur Bagga, Aditya Vinod Patil and Anshika Dhara, their spirit and passion for dance is unmatchable.
Along with the judges, the show will also have dancers: Tushar Shetty, Pratik Utekar and Sonali Kar as mentors training and nurturing the craft of the contestants.
Manisha Sharma, Chief Content Officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, added, “Kids are a powerhouse of talent and passionate about dance. With ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’, we aim to celebrate their spirit and give them a larger-than-life platform. To mentor and guide the contestants, we have roped in an exceptional line-up of judges including Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Marzi Pestonji and Karan Kundrra as host. We have an array of performers and a promising line-up of contestants from different parts of the country who have given their heart and soul to their art form and ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’ will give flights to their dreams.”
Judge Neetu Kapoor said, “I am very happy to be coming into the audiences’ home. I was waiting for the right opportunity. When I was offered ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’, I was very excited about my judging debut. It is an absolute delight to see and mentor the little prodigies who are extremely talented and gifted. Along with the kids, even I am learning so many new things; be it different dance forms and styles or the Gen-Z lingo. I am having a blast on the show.”
Judge Marzi Pestonji too shared his thoughts and said, “Dance Deewane' franchise has done exceptionally well in finding great dancing talents from across the country bringing them under the limelight and I am delighted to be a part of ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’. While judging, my focus is majorly going to be on the technical aspects and how well the contestants make use of their skills as we are looking for the X factor in the solos, duet and the groups. The finesse, body language, choreography and above all, the energy. The talent in the younger generation is unbelievable, and I am all charged up to watch some hardcore dance performances.”
Host Karan Kundrra said, “Colors is like my second home, and I am very excited as this is the first time, I am hosting a kids' reality show. I adore kids and the contestants who have appeared on the show are incredible. I am hoping that by the end of the show, I become a better dancer and learn some impressive moves. I am delighted to join Neetu ma’am, Nora and Marzi on the show. Their vibe and energy are amazing, and it is such a pleasure to collaborate with them.”
Ranjeet Thakur and Hemant Ruprell, Frames Production Company, said, “’Dance Deewane Juniors’ is our promising new venture that will give a platform to young dancers that deserve to be recognised and lauded. The juniors have packed a powerful punch with their jaw-dropping and astounding performances in the audition round itself. The viewers are in for a complete treat as we double the entertainment as the season progresses. We are certain that as we go along, these contestants will get the right nurturing and grooming under the guidance of our mentors and respected judges Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Marzi Pestonji.”
