Convincing lead for Aaj Tak in full 13-week historic data

The channel is 25% ahead of the nearest competitor in terms of viewership

The historic data for 13 weeks, which advertisers look for media buying on news channels, is out and Aaj Tak is convincingly ahead of the pack by a big margin. 

According to BARC India data release for Wk 49 of 2021 to Wk 9 of 2022 (TG: 15+ All, HSM, Relative Share, 8 opt-in channels), Aaj Tak leads with 25.9% relative share. The channel is 25% ahead of the nearest competitor in terms of viewership.

At the second place is TV9 Bharatvarsh with 20.5% relative share and it is closely followed by Republic Bharat at No. 3. Republic Bharat’s relative share stands at 20% for the entire 13 weeks period.

Zee News is the fourth most watched news channel with 15.6% of relative share.

News Nation and Zee Hindustan sit closely at No. 5 and No. 6 with 7.7% and 7.2% share, respectively.

DD News is at No. 7 with 2.2% share followed by India News at No. 8 with 1.1% relative share.
