Chingari celebrates women creators through its new initiative #Gari4Nari

Short-video app Chingari, powered by $Gari, has announced its newest initiative #Gari4Nari. Under this program, the women creators on Chingari are given the chance to empower other women in their region/locality by introducing them to Chingari App and making them aware about $Gari Social Tokens.

Chingari’s Women Creators will be able to onboard other women and help them understand the concept of $Gari and how to earn through Chingari’s social token.

The program is announced to give the women creators a platform that will empower them financially, as well give them a platform to showcase their talents across India.

#Gari4Nari is a program for women creators across India. It aims at giving them the opportunity to earn money by creating content, viewing content and engaging with the content on Chingari App. In all the initiative is launched by Chingari to promote financial literacy and independence amongst the women of India.

"If pandemic has taught us anything, it is to always secure our finances for the unprecedented times. During the last two years, many people lost their livelihoods due to the lockdown and did not have enough finances to support their daily expenses. This is where short-video apps like Chingari became helpful for people across India. We saw many house-wives, college students actively making videos on Chingari and earning money to support their families. Understanding how important it is for women to be financially independent we are now focused on giving them the opportunity to benefit under the #GARI4NARI program and invest in their future,” said Sumit Ghosh, Co-founder and CEO, Chingari App.

Deepak Salvi, Co-founder and COO, Chingari App, said, “We want to create a financial awareness for our women creators and help them gain the independence that they deserve. Our goal is to create an ecosystem that not only gives our creators a platform to showcase their talent, but also earn/monetise their content and secure their financial future. #Gari4Nari is an important step for us in the direction of empowering our women creators community. We truly believe that financial freedom and independence helps women to feel more secure and empowered, irrespective of their socio-economic status. This in turn also allows the society to change their perspectives and empower the Women further and make the country a better place for all.”

Chingari has already begun activities under the initiative. The first activity was for women/ female artists who were asked on social media to participate and make a creative logo for #Gari4Nari. The winner of the logo designing contest won $Gari tokens worth Rs 5,000. Chingari has many other activities that will soon be announced under the initiative.
