BARC India on Monday released the historic data for five more weeks (Wk 1 - Wk 5) as per the schedule. With this, subscribers of BARC have access to full data for the year 2022 for eight Hindi news channels who opted in for historic data.

In terms of relative share (8 Hindi National News Channels, NCCS: All, 15+ years, Rolling average, HSM), Aaj Tak has retained the number one spot in 2022 (Wk 1 - Wk 10) with a comfortable lead margin.
It is noteworthy that advertisers consider at least 13 weeks data for buying ad slots on news channels.

The lead margin of Aaj Tak was even higher during Week 1 to Week 5.

Considering historic data only, Aaj Tak’s average minute audience (AMA) was 25% more than the nearest competitor TV9 Bharatvarsh.
