Pallavi Walia has been appointed as the new Head for Communications in India for Twitter. The leadership role will cover the entire range of communication activities in the market.
Lauren Myers Cavanagh, Head - APAC Communications at Twitter announced Walia’s appointment through a tweet.

In a series of tweets, Walia expressed her glee at her elevation, she said, “Chuffed, humbled and grateful to lead the Comms charge and shape how we tell Twitter’s story in India. Can’t wait to get started and create magic with the incredible @TwitterComms trio @aditishorewal @awkwardandhow @snehaseeker.”
“Onwards and upwards, our goal is to adopt integrated and purpose-led storytelling, inspired by the millions of conversations across public, communities, partners and brands that constantly unfold on Twitter in multiple Indic languages. Stay tuned to know what’s happening @Twitter,” she added.
Walia had previously served as Vice-President (Client Experience) at Weber Shandwick and has experience of 14 years in the industry. She joined Twitter in 2019 and handled policy communications for the micro-blogging site for over two years and six months.
