Hathaway Cable's net profit down by 46% Y-O-Y for Q3 FY22

Hathaway Cable and Datacom’s Profit after Tax (PAT) has slipped 46% to Rs 34 crore in the third quarter of FY 22 from Rs 62.7 crore in Q3 FY21. There has, however, been an increase in PAT from Q2 of FY 22 which stood at Rs 19.1 crore, registering a 78% growth.

The PAT margin has fallen from 14% in Q3 FY21 to 7% for the same quarter in FY22. EBITDA is down 13% Y-O-Y, from Rs 141.2 crore in Q3 FY21 to Rs 122.7 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2022.

The company reported Gross Revenue of Rs 455.03 crore for Q3 FY 22, registering a 3% Y-o-Y.

While Rs 300.1 crore of the Gross Revenue came from cable TV business, Rs 154.9 crore came from broadband.

As per the company, the number of broadband subscribers currently is at 1.08 million.
