Creative organization Monk Entertainment has come up with a 360° moment marketing campaign for Scaler Academy, an online tech-varsity for software developers, with the plot of popular Netflix series- Money Heist as its central theme.
The campaign has been created to subconsciously create a want for Indian software engineers to upscale themselves. Starring in this campaign as the lead is Karan Sonawane aka Focused Indian and Marathi digital content creators like Sidhant Sarfare, Harsh Rane, Vrushali Jawale, Sushant Ghadge, and Shravan Kshirsagar.
The script revolves around the Professor (Karan) teaching software engineering courses at an Engineering college and leading his students into a heist. It’s in the Professor’s hands to crack the code in order to open a vault with treasures. However, the Professor’s coding skills aren’t as proficient as he claims. The plot twist occurs when one of the members- Virar, played by Harsh Rane is able to crack the code that the Professor couldn’t and gets the vault open. A subtle hint in the sketch, where Virar is seen watching a Scaler video, whilst the Professor keeps the gang waiting.

For us, a brand's target customer has to be the protagonist/the main hero of the story we are serving. The above approach really worked for us while conceptualizing the sketch. The protagonist of the sketch, the Professor, has aspirations to lead a successful heist but has absolutely no coding skills to execute it. This is the exact target audience Scaler Academy wants to speak with as an online tech-varsity. We are very glad that we collaborated with a fantastic and supremely talented cast of Marathi creators to bring this sketch to life. Their comic timings and acting process accentuated the humour of the entire sketch. We are happy to see so many organic conversations around the brand in the comments section of the video. Post the success of this video, we are hopeful that more brands will now engage with pop-culture trends and become a part of social conversations around them through video content.”
