Former TikTok South Asia Marketing Lead Parijat Kaushik has joined Clubhouse as Head of Partnerships for its India operations. With this appointment, he has become the first international employee of the social audio startup. It is also the first time the app has made a country-specific appointment outside the United States.
Kaushik has the experience of working across various marketing roles with companies such as Hungama, TinyOwl, Gitanjali Gems and Sony Music Entertainment and E18 division of Network18. He will be working with Clubhouse to keep growing its community in India, which is one of the biggest markets for the platform.

“I’m beyond thrilled to announce that I have joined Clubhouse and I’m looking forward to building and growing Clubhouse in India. Since the moment it launched, I’ve been hooked to Clubhouse! It’s been an incredible experience to see people connect with one another via the profoundly authentic and human medium of conversations,” Kaushik said in his LinkedIn post.
In his post, he also thanked ByteDance, and termed the past two years of his association with TikTok as an “incredible journey”.
