Sorted 2.0 aims to reach out to a broader audience of small businesses and startups

‘Sorted’ was a collaborative pandemic brainchild of three senior professionals who experienced first-hand the hit businesses took during the 2020 nationwide lockdown.

Pawan Sarda, CMO Future Group, got together with Aarti Samant, Co-founder, Masala Tokri and Apurv Singh, Lead Performance Marketing, Future group to create a digital marketing master class for small business owners, startups and senior professionals.

From the start, Sorted was extremely business-driven from the start. Simple tips and hacks to grow in the Indian economic space were shared. A step up from the initial version of Sorted, the latest update offers pre-recorded sessions and masterclasses. Available to lakhs of businesses across the country, with the added benefit of logging in and catching up on a session at their convenience, Sorted 2.0 will help all small businesses ace their digital marketing efforts.

Each co-founder had their expertise to share while they collaborated on Sorted. Like Sarda, a businessman through and through, helped his friends and family demystify and get comfortable in their digital space. With Sorted 2.0, he hopes to reach out to a broader audience of small businesses and startups.

Sarda said, “There is nothing called digital marketing. One has to market its product and services in the world of digital. Pandemic brought in a huge change in the way businesses interact with customers and services. While helping out friends and family, we realised the world has made digital marketing very complex with glamorised jargon. That was the trigger to demystify and speak the language of Digital for ROI. Not only it connected with people, but it also gave them confidence. Therefore, we felt the need not to restrict this approach, and with the vision of helping lakhs of people, we have launched our pre-recorded video platform where one can go through the course as per their convenience and comfort.”

Samant said, “I have always been very passionate about digital marketing. During a pandemic, a friend lost his job and did not know how to go about it. I reached out to him. He started his home delivery business along with his mother. We helped him to reach out to his audience through Instagram. That is where I felt there would be many like him who might need help. There was a big need-gap to help people and local brands startups. That is how Sorted was born. Today we have helped more than 500 brands with an extended network of friends and family, and it is extremely fulfilling. So much so that I finally took the plunge and quit my day job to focus on my businesses, including Sorted, full-time.”

Singh said, “Digital is hardcore ROI. You put Rs 10 and must expect Rs100 out of it. While interacting with friends and family, I realised most of them were extremely intimidated, and they did not know if it’s wise to invest in digital. So I created their Facebook ad manager and Google account. That made me realise; there would be so many of them who would need help. When Pawan and Aarti bounced this idea, I just felt it is the right thing to do. While 500 is a good number, to begin with, we want to help lakhs of people to understand how to maximise ROI. That is where sorted 2.0 version is born. We want businesses to take up the course as per their convenience and grow their business.”
