Colors Odia launches women-centric drama Raajnandini

The dubbed show will air every day at 6 pm and 10 pm. The story focuses on the relationship between two daughter-in laws

Colors Odia fromViacom18 has launched a new show Raajnandini from July 26. The new, dubbed show will focus on women-centric drama. Raajnandini will air every day at 6 pm and 10 pm.

Raajnandini is the story of two daughters-in-law, Meera and Ahalya. Ahalya is the perfect daughter-in-law, while Meera is just the opposite. But what happens when it all falls on Meera to save the house from ruin, especially when no one trusts her? The show focuses on her life and her struggles.

Srija Shahin, Programming head, Colors Odia, said “At Colors Odia our endeavour is to showcase content that is engaging and thought provoking. This story focuses on the relationship between two daughter-in laws. We are planning to get the best shows from our network in local language for our audiences and we are confident that our audience will love this story.”

Dubbed content became very popular during lockdown, especially because production of fresh content was a challenge. The channel recently aired the Rathyatra festival for people to sit at home and have the same flavour. Some of the important rituals such as Bahuda Yatra, Suna Besha and Niladri Bije were also aired on the channel.
