Prabhat Khabar, a leading Hindi newspaper in Eastern India, has been doing its bit to support people during the pandemic across Bihar and Jharkhand.
Prabhat Khabar has distributed over 7 lakh face masks to its readers along with the June 22 publication, across all editions in Bihar and across all editions in Jharkhand and Kolkata on June 27.
The newspaper has been educating its readers about the importance of face masks and Covid-appropriate behaviour and now has gone a step further by providing free masks to its readers as a corporate social responsibility drive.
In this pandemic, newspaper hawkers of Prabhat Khabar were provided free ration for their family as the company was concerned about the basic needs of the hawkers.
It ensured all employees, hawkers and partners across all publishing centres were provided with sanitisers and face masks.
The company provided oxygen concentrators to government hospitals in Bihar and Jharkhand to overcome the shortage of oxygen.
Periodic vaccination camps are being organised for readers, hawkers and partners and their family members across all publication centres and units.
