Shemaroo TV marks its entry into original content with crime show 'Jurm aur Jazbaat'

Hindi GEC Shemaroo TV from Shemaroo Entertainment has announced its foray with its original crime show ‘Jurm aur Jazbaat’.

The show went on air on February 23 and will be telecast every Monday to Friday at 10 pm and again at 12 noon.

The show was conceptualised after an extensive research to understand the triggers behind crimes and decode the emotions that lead to atrocious acts. The survey revealed how the seven emotions — ego, greed, jealousy, passion, lust, pride and anger — act as triggers for crimes, which has been weaved in intrinsically in the show format.

The channel has brought in Ronit Roy as the face of the show and this marks his comeback in the TV industry after a gap of five years. The relatability and rawness of the stories will build the connect and hook for the audiences, which will leave them craving for more. The channel strategically planned this new original to create a complete family-viewing experience by offering an entertaining blend of content across genres.  

To promote the new original show ‘Jurm aur Jazbaat’, the channel has planned a massive national marketing campaign focussing on the HSM belt. The campaign has been devised to increase the popularity of the show and Shemaroo TV among the existing and potential customers. With an interesting media mix plan that consists of a TV campaign with a perfect combination of national movies and news channels, a very high visibility OOH campaign consisting of hoardings as well as transit media such as buses and a print campaign will help drive tune ins. This mainline campaign will be supported by very a targeted digital and social media strategy followed by a robust EPG promotion on all DTH and cable networks.
