Partho Dasgupta critical, admitted to JJ Hospital

Former BARC India CEO Partho Dasgupta has been admitted to JJ Hospital after his sugar level fell extremely high. He is in ICU now, tweeted Anant Rangaswami.

This is crazy. @parthodasgupta was taken to JJ Hospital with his sugar completely out of whack. In ICU now. Let the legal issues run their course, but for God’s sake let him be safe and healthy.

Dasgupta, who was housed in Taloja jail for last 15 days, was admitted to JJ Hospital yesterday after his blood pressure and sugar level went out of control. He was shifted to ICU this morning.

Dasguta's daughter Pratyusha Dasgupta wrote a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested the intervention at the highest levels for the safety of her father.

He was arrested by Mumbai police in the alleged TRP scam on December 24, 2020, and was sent to judicial custody on December 31, 2020.
