Akash Banerji moves from Voot, to join Amazon

Voot’s Akash Banerji will be joining Amazon India in September, sources close to the development confirmed with BestMediaInfo.com.

Banerji will head the marketing for Amazon India's central mobile business development unit that works across Amazon ecosystem. He will be in charge of setting up Amazon India’s mobile development agenda.

Banerji, the Business Head at Voot AVOD platform, was with the company from 2015 and was also associated with its launch. Currently, Voot has 100 million active users.

Banerji was earlier associated with brands such as Star where he was responsible for launching the Hotstar app and the new Star Sports network.
