India Ahead was launched in June 2018.

Former CNN-News18 Sudeep Mukhia has joined India Ahead as Group President, News Room Operations & Editorial Strategies. The channel has also appointed Amit Goel as President, National Editorial Affairs, Sudha Sadanand as President, Editorial Affairs and Arjun Pandey as President, Sales, Marketing, New Strategies and Collaborations.

Putting the new team in place, India Ahead MD Mootha Goutam wrote in an internal email to employees, “Today, I declare the heralding of version 2.0 of India Ahead in the middle of this COVID-19 pandemic, but with renewed vigour and a “will" to ensure that we stand out in delivering News in a format that shows nothing but excellence!!”

Goutam admired Sharma’s contribution and said, “I would like to place on record the immense work put in by Chetan Sharma, who came on board IA during its formative years as the first CEO and steered it through with meticulous planning and put in place a platform in a record time, thus enabling us to move forward with more vigour.

Chetan has decided to move on to pursue other interests that are close to his heart, in the areas of teaching and writing. I, personally wish him all the very best in his endeavours and he shall ever remain in the hearts of Team IA.”
