With bringing former WarnerMedia executive Pooja Madan on board as Sales Director - North and East, Arnab Goswami owned Republic Network said it is on an expansion mode and will be further strengthening its business and editorial teams.
Madan will be spearheading revenue growth and creating value for the advertisers across the networkâs channels - Republic Television and Republic Bharat, reporting to Hersh Bhandari, Executive Vice President - Sales.
With this key addition, Republic Media Network will continue further on its path to not only reach relevant customers but also create meaningful interaction with advertisers, a press statement from Republic said.
âAt a time when the media is scaling down, the Republic network is on an expansion drive. The channel is further strengthening its top and middle management teams and also starting a major recruitment drive for its Hindi and English channels, details of which are being released in the coming week,â the company said.

Madan brings with her more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. Most recently, she served as Associate Director, Sales at WarnerMedia (formerly Turner International India Pvt Ltd). Since 2016, she had been leading critical positioning, sales generation, product innovations and other revenue maximisation efforts for their English Channel portfolio (HBO, HBO HD & WB). She was responsible for driving sales strategy and customer relationships in the North and East markets.
Previously, she also served in varied sales roles, handling multiple brand portfolios at the Star Network for over ten years. Madan was involved in the core team for the monetisation efforts of the networkâs key platforms like HD channelsâ launch, Star Plus channel rebranding and Life OK re-launch.
In addition, she was instrumental in building partnerships with key corporate and retail advertisers across the networkâs multiple initiatives - Satyamev Jayate, Star Screen Awards, Star Parivaar Awards, Masterchef India, Mahabharat.
In her last assignment at Star, she served as Assistant Vice President tasked with increasing advertiser share among North and Upcountry Strategic Accounts and MSMEs (specifically non-television advertisers) using âAdsharpâ- geo-targeting technology. Adsharp was Star Indiaâs advertisement technology for advertisers and marketers which enabled them to broadcast localised ads on the networkâs leading Hindi general entertainment and movies categories.
