Aaj Tak breaks its own record during PM’s address to announce the second lockdown

Compared with PM’s address to announce the first lockdown, Aaj Tak was the only channel among top six Hindi news channels that recorded growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on lockdown extension on April 14 at 10-10.30 am broke all records including PM’s own address on March 24 when he announced the first nationwide lockdown between 8-8.30 pm.

According to the viewership data released by BARC India for Week 15, Aaj Tak took the lion’s share among Hindi news channels. Compared with PM’s address to announce the first lockdown, Aaj Tak was the only channel among top six Hindi news channels that recorded growth.
