EarlySalary celebrates 1 million loans milestone with an ‘App Handshake’ campaign

EarlySalary created a virtual handshake feature in the app that was triggered when customers shook their smartphones. It allowed customers to unlock exciting prizes as a reward for their association with the company on the occasion

EarlySalary, the consumer lending app for salaried individuals, has announced that it has completed its ‘App Handshake’ campaign to celebrate the milestone of disbursing 1 million loans to its customers. The campaign spanned across four weeks and was an initiative to express EarlySalary’s gratitude toward its customers, who used the app to avail of instant loan facilities.

With the use of technology, EarlySalary created a virtual handshake feature in the app that was triggered when customers shook their smartphones. It allowed customers to unlock exciting prizes as a reward for their association with the company on the momentous occasion of achieving the 1 million salary advances mark. Additionally, customers who innovatively thanked the EarlySalary app using the hash tag #ShakeHandsWithAnApp in Twitter and Facebook posts won exciting gift hampers. The hashtag went viral on social media, getting more than thousands of entries and clocked nearly 10 million impressions on Twitter.

Call for entries were also rolled out to the existing customers, who were asked about their one in a million stories. To participate, they had to share their experience with EarlySalary on social media platforms, using the hash tag #ThanksAMillion, which was seen trending on the Twitter platform. These stories were also used to create two video advertisements –– Dress Ka Distress and Goa Trip — depicting the original stories of customers who used the EarlySalary app to meet their demands in a sudden financial crisis.

EarlySalary also tapped into the Instagram audience by collaborating with multiple influencers.

The overall campaign clocked in 20 million impressions and reached over 10 million people through social media channels.
