The Bombay High Court Tuesday refused to grant ad-interim relief to television broadcasters who had challenged the amendments to New Tariff Order by TRAI capped MRP of a channel at Rs 12 if it has to be a part of any bouquet. The amendments had asked the broadcasters to unveil their revised prices by January 15.
Division Bench of Justices SC Dharmadhikari and RI Chagla directed TRAI to file an affidavit in reply in a week's time. The Court will hear the matter next on January 22.
As a result, the broadcasters will have to publish their revised prices by tomorrow.
