Apple's 'Born With Wings' reminds belief in the power of creativity
The film is shot entirely on iPhone 11 Pro with the powerful words of our former President APJ Abdul Kalam from his visits to schools across the country, encouraging the young to follow their dreams and ideas and spread their wings
Technology company Apple celebrated India's Republic Day with the launch of a new bespoke film, ‘Born With Wings,’ shot entirely on iPhone 11 Pro. Apple’s new film celebrates the potential of the country with a look toward its future: India’s youth.
Today 65% of our population is under the age of 35, presenting us with limitless potential for economic and social progress. ‘Born With Wings’ reminds viewers of their belief in the power of creativity to change the world and the ability for the youth to do just that.
The film is narrated by the powerful words of former president APJ Abdul Kalam from his visits to schools across the country. Kalam quoted an original poem written by Sufi poet Rumi that encouraged the young to follow their dreams and ideas and spread their wings. The film features children from ages four to 12 from all corners of India whose aspirations are fulfilling a prophecy of what lies ahead including young environmental activist Ridhima Pandy, a six-year-old BMX rider defying age limitations and many more.
While ‘Born With Wings’ is a bespoke film to celebrate Republic Day, the message is also as a global reminder that with the right tools and ambition we have the power to change the world.
