Unilever has named its EVP of Middle Europe Conny Braams as the new Global Chief Digital and Marketing Officer. Braams would take over the new role from January 1, 2020.
She will fill the position vacated by Unilever’s longtime CMO Keith Weed stepped down earlier this year.
Unilever CEO Alan Jope said Braams will be tasked with turning Unilever into a “future-fit, fully digitised organisation at the leading edge of consumer marketing”.
“Conny Braams is one of our most successful and talented leaders, as well as a highly effective driver of change. As our new Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, her experience will be critical to the transformation of Unilever into a future-fit, fully digitised organisation at the leading edge of consumer marketing,” Jope said.
Braams joined Unilever in 1990, and the company said she has held a number of marketing leadership and general management roles in European and Asian markets.
