She will fill the position vacated by Unilever’s longtime CMO Keith Weed stepped down earlier this year.

Unilever CEO Alan Jope said Braams will be tasked with turning Unilever into a “future-fit, fully digitised organisation at the leading edge of consumer marketing”.

As our new Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, her experience will be critical to the transformation of Unilever into a future-fit, fully digitised organisation at the leading edge of consumer marketing,” Jope said.

Braams joined Unilever in 1990, and the company said she has held a number of marketing leadership and general management roles in European and Asian markets.
