Sports broadcaster Star Sports has won big at the recently concluded Promax Asia Awards 2019 in Singapore, with a tally of five honours, including two Gold and three Silver.
These awards recognise excellence in on-air promotion, branding and advertising by media organisations, marketing agencies and technology providers. The Promax Asia Awards is a celebration of outstanding achievements in entertainment, marketing and design. Across 11 regional and global competitions, the Promax Asia Awards honour brands harnessing passionate fandom to drive audiences and create value which are instrumental in building the biggest brands in entertainment.
#GameBanayegaName, a popular campaign for Vivo IPL 2019, that focused on Vivo IPL as a platform where one’s ‘Talent’ (Game) supersedes one’s name and recognition for past laurels, won a Gold in the Best campaign category. Star Sports won another Gold for Anthem Split Screen, IPL 2019 for best sports promo category.
In addition, Star Sports picked up a Silver award for its Kathi Ka Ped, ICC Women’s T20 WC, under the best script category. The Best Sports Promo was bagged by the Vivo IPL 2019 for the first match CSK vs RCB.
