Star Sports’ regional campaign for ISL showcases the hunger for North East United FC to win their maiden title

The Indian Super League (ISL) Season 6 is all set to start from October 20, 2019, and North East United FC is all geared up to put their best foot forward with their new squad. The team has roped in Asamoah Gyan, the former captain of the Ghana team and he along with Argentinian footballer Maximiliano Barreiro will form the new attacking combo. Robert Jarni; the former teammate of Igor Stimac (Indian team coach) will be coaching the team. All these new inclusions give the team a vivacious feel which is captured in the new Star Sports campaign.

The TVC is part of Star Sports’ larger campaign named #TrueLove which is about celebrating fans’ true love for football. The television commercial titled ‘Boot Jolokia Fire!’ sets an interesting context by resembling the new players in the team to new dishes at the restaurant, and how the new team is on fire to perform their best this season.

‘Bhut Jolokia’ is one of the spiciest and hottest chillies grown in the North-East states and the commercial refers how these players have their boots on fire, to put in their best. The TVC ends with football fanatic and Bollywood Superstar, John Abraham talking about the team’s hunger for taking the trophy home this season.

North East United FC broke the jinx in Season 5 by qualifying for the playoffs of the Indian Super League and after a journey of tremendous growth, the team, this year will be eager to win their maiden title.
